At first, I wasn’t sure if I was in the right place.
After crossing a small bridge, an old market appeared in front of me. It looked completly different from the modern city around it.

One of the most unforgettable sights is the row of old building standing directly over the river.
Rusty pipes, weathered walls, and countless air conditioners tell stories of people who have worked here for decades.

Walking inside feels like stepping back in time.
Small seafood shops, eel shop, vegetable stands, and family-owned businesses line the narro street.

Tanga Market has suffered two major fires in recent years.
Even so, many shops reopened, and people continue working together to keeo this historic market alive.
